Fast Automatic ATV Tie-Down System
Fold Down Installation and User Instructions
1. Read and understand all instructions before installing and/or using product. NEVER allow anyone unfamiliar with the instructions or ATV to use this product.
2. Read and understand all instructions provided by the manufacturer of the product that this Automatic ATV Tie-Down System will be installed on.
3. Installation of the Automatic ATV Tie-Down System must conform to the following mounting instructions only.
4. Vinny Enterprises, Inc. is not responsible for accidents, occurrences, injuries and losses to or of any person or property, wherever which arises as a resu inch horizontal bar in the front. (Polaris “Glacier I” plow frame or mounting brac ket)
- Area of attachment on trailer or mounting surface must be of sufficient strength to hold the load.
- Automatic ATV Tie-Down System is designed for securing the front of an ATV and must be used with some type of Tie-down in the rear of the ATV.
Initial Set Up
Bolt Down
- Using bolt for snowmobile tie-down bar, fasten system to trailer.
- A reinforcement mount plate is included for the underside of trailer
- Polaris “Glacier I” plow frame or mounting bracket. (not included)
Height Adjustment
Loading with rider on ATV
1) Initial set up requires two people for proper installation; the usual ATV rider and another to set up the height adjustment.
2) Remove pins and spacers. With rider on the ATV adjust height so that the bar is a 1/2 inch lower than the clamp. (Allowing clamp to slightly lift ATV)
Loading without rider (ATV in neutral)
1) Remove pins and spacers. Adjust height so that the bar is a ½ inch lower than clamp allowing clamp to slightly lift ATV)
Approach
- Approach Tie-Down System when trailer is level.
- Slowly inch ATV forward to prevent damage to clamp and ATV.
- Inconsistent speed can compress or decompress suspension causing a misalignment with ATV and Tie-Down System
- Keep hands away from clamp to prevent injury.
Safety Check
- Put ATV in reverse or physically push with a small amount of force on the Tie-Down System to ensure it’s locked in place. (Don’t spin wheels)
- Check Automatic ATV Tie-Down System as often as possible. Adjust if needed.
Lock
- A hole is provided for additional security
- Using a pin or pad lock, Tie-Down System can be locked
Unlock
- Remove lock or pin
- Flip lock lever down releasing ATV from Tie-Down System
Drive over
-Using your index finger pull the “U” shaped lever inside the square tube and fold system down allowing you to drive an ATV over it.
Warnings
- Failure to follow these warnings and instructions may result in property damage and/or serious bodily injury.
- Approach clamp at a very low speed to prevent damage to clamp and vehicle.
- Put ATV in reverse to insure proper tie-down.
- Keep hands away from clamp to prevent injury.
- Keep clamp free of dirt and ice.
